OET Exam

The OET Exam (Occupational English Test) is an English test that assesses the linguistic communication skills of healthcare professionals who wish to register and practice in an English-speaking environment. The exam assesses four skills: Speaking, Writing, Listening and Reading. The oral and written expression tests will be different and are adapted to 12 different professions in the sector. Currently it is required in Australia and New Zealand, and is accepted as proof of recognition of English to be able to practice medicine in the United Kingdom and Ireland. It is recognized by bodies such as: NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council), NMBI (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland) and MC (Medical Council of Ireland), GMC (General Medical Council). The OET Exam is also recognized in Spain by CRUE, the Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities.
